I included an inspirational message in my email
signature. I think it’s fine but my mother doesn’t think it’s appropriate
when I communicate with recruiters. What do you think?

We’re going to side with your mom on this one. Think of all written communication with recruiters and potential employers as “business correspondence” – which typically does not include inspirational messages, photos, icons, etc.
We do recommend, however, that you create an “email signature” that contains your name, phone number, major (if you’re still a student), graduation date, and a link to your Linkedin profile. Creating a signature prevents you from having to manually type in your identifying information each time you send an email.
Such professionalism might “inspire” the recruiter to interview you!
