This is a great question that requires more space than we can adequately address here.
But, for many students and alumni, LinkedIn is an important tool for networking with professionals, learning about careers and organizations of interest to you, and promoting yourself in a highly professional manner.
The following site on our Career Services website contains helpful LinkedIn instructional videos and a link to the LinkedIn Learning Center. Watch a few to help you get started.

So to answer your question – yes, we often recommend that students use LinkedIn for networking and job search purposes. But like anything else associated with your career development and job search, you only want to use LinkedIn if you do so knowledgably and professionally.
