Job hunting from out of state
I moved home several months ago after graduating hoping to find a job out of state, particularly where the publishing business is prevalent. However, although I have enough, if not more, relevant professional and education experience I've had a tough time catching a break-- most likely because of the economic situation and my out of state address. What can I do to stand out in this competitive industry and land a job out of state?

Recruiters not collecting resumes at Job Fairs
I’ve been to a few job fairs recently and some of the companies wouldn’t even take my resume. They told me to apply online. So why did I bother to buy a suit, print up resumes, and go to the Job Fair if they just want me to apply online?
Should I try to get a job through a temp agency?
Thanks for explaining about headhunters. But what about temp agencies? I just graduated and I was thinking about contacting some of them. Would I be wasting my time?

Resume paper
This may sound stupid, but someone told me that I should do something different with my resume to make it stand out - like brightly colored paper. Or perfumed paper.
How long should my resume be?
I keep hearing different things - one page, two pages. I think mine should be one page but I can't squeeze everything into a single page.
Job search help
I'm getting REALLY frustrated with sites like Monster and Career Builder. It seems like most of the jobs require 5-10 years experience, or they're junk. Help!
